VTI Van Rentals provides vehicles for corporate events, family vacations, productions, and more. Located in Brooklyn, we serve New York City and the surrounding areas, including Queens, Long Island, Connecticut, and New Jersey.

All renters and additional drivers should have some form of insurance to cover the vehicle. For business use, if using your own insurance, all renters or drivers should provide proof of auto liability insurance for hired autos/non-owned autos.

Another option we accept is an American Express card through the Premium Car Rental Protection program, which also provides coverage for your rental vehicle.

Many major credit card companies cover car rentals in the event of an accident, though some do not. It is the renter’s responsibility to contact their credit card carrier to see if coverage is provided in the event of an accident. Most major credit cards such as Mastercard, American Express, Visa, and Discover have car rental insurance available at no charge as a courtesy to you.

We highly recommend American Express Premium Car Rental Protection because it covers luxury and large passenger vans like the vehicles at VTI.

A deposit of $100, or $299.99 will be charged to your credit or debit card to confirm your reservation. This deposit is non-refundable. The deposit is applied toward your rental. In the case of cancellation, you will be issued a credit voucher. The voucher is redeemable on a future rental of three days or more and is valid for one year. The deposit will not be refunded back to your credit or debit card.

Depending on the type of vehicle you rent, a security deposit can range from $350 to $2,500. Security deposits are required in addition to the cost of the rental in order to rent from us. The deposit will be returned when you return the vehicle with everything in good condition.

No refunds will be given for early returns. No exceptions.

Our vehicles are smoke-free. Customers who return vehicles with cigarette odors will be charged a $150 fee.

We offer delivery and pickup service for each rental to your home, office, hotel, or any local airport. Rates range from $59.99 to $159.99. The price covers all costs, including driver pay, fuel, tolls, taxis, vehicle depreciation, and all other incidental expenses. Rate based on Tri-State area.

If your flight arrives after normal business hours, a $100 to $150 fee applies.

All rentals include at least 100 free miles. Per mileage charges could range from 0.35 cents per mile to 0.45 cents per mile after free mileage allowed.

We do not reserve any vehicle with a tow hitch.

The minimum age to rent is 24 years old, but renters under 25 are subject to an underage surcharge of $29.99 per day, plus applicable taxes. The minimum age to rent a 12- or 15-passenger van is 25 years old.

Our refueling policy is simple. Please return the vehicle with the same fuel level as when you took the vehicle out. The fuel level amount will be printed on your rental contract. A $25.00 administrative fee applies should the vehicle be returned with less than the original amount.

Every customer has different needs. , For long-distance travelers, let us know where you will travel so we put together a package that fits your needs.

Additional drivers can be added to a rental contract. One person will be considered the renter, and two others will be considered additional drivers. A surcharge of $3.00 per day, per additional driver, will apply for each additional driver. Additional drivers are also recognized as if they are the principal driver and must have their own auto insurance, business insurance, or CDW coverage from a credit card. The additional driver fee will apply to each additional person printed on the contract. The person responsible for payment will be named on the rental contract, even if that person will not be driving. No additional drivers will be added or removed from the contract after the vehicle leaves our office. All additional drivers are responsible for the vehicle until the vehicle is returned.

The renter is fully responsible for all tire, wheel, and hubcap damage during the rental. Whether the tire and wheel were damaged by a road hazard, driver error, or a blowout, the renter will be held responsible and charged for any expenses to repair the vehicle or replace the tire or related components. Unfortunately, road hazards exist, but we cannot assume responsibility for the damage caused to rims and tires. It is the driver’s responsibility to be aware of road hazards while operating the rental vehicle. If towing is necessary, VTI Van Rentals will cover that expense.

VTI does not have a drop box for after-hour returns. Vehicles must be returned during normal business hours. If you must return your vehicle after hours, a $150.00 fee applies, and we will have someone available to check your vehicle in and refund your deposit.

All rental vehicles are calculated for a 24-hour period. There is a one-hour grace period, but if you exceed the 24-hour period by more than one hour, a per-hour late charge will apply to each hour late, starting from the first late hour, until you reach the daily rate. The per-hour rate is calculated as your daily rate, which is established on the rental agreement, and divided into a 24-hour period. When the total late fee reaches the additional day rate, you will be charged only an additional day.

If you decide to take pets along for the ride, please keep in mind you should get some sort of protective cover, such as a dog blanket, and keep your pet confined to that area. A $100 cleaning and shampoo fee will be charged if pet hairs are found on the seats. Should you have questions about this policy, feel free to contact us.

The renter is responsible for all parking, traffic, speeding, or other tickets or violations issued while the vehicle is being rented and must pay for any fees, penalties, towing charges, or impound costs.

Our rental rates do not include the cost of gasoline. We usually start you out with a full tank of gas and request that customers refill prior to the vehicle’s return. You should be aware that a refueling cost will apply, and a minimum $25.00 fee will be applied to the cost of a rental if the vehicle is returned with less gas than indicated on the rental agreement.

Full payment is due at the time of the rental in addition to a minimum $350 to $2,500 security deposit; the price is dependent on the vehicle type. The rental rate will be charged at the beginning of the rental and the security deposit will be authorized.

Once you purchase roadside assistance it will include vehicle fluid delivery, towing, lockouts, winching/extricating, and flat tire assistance jump-starts in USA & Canada.

Sunday: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Credit cards are a preferred method of payment. While we have not taken the stand as yet not to accept debit cards as the main form of payment, you can still use this method of payment. We will require a higher security deposit which will range from $500 to $2,500 depending on vehicle type. Some vehicle types we don't accept debit cards. We will require (2) documents showing your current address. We will require a valid driver's license with your current address and your most recent pay stub. We reserve the right to check the driver license history. The information we access is DMV history. We also reserve the right for background screening.
